Currently, we are in the process of securing land for our building site. This animal shelter will be built based on the animal's point of view. State of the art meets family friendly charm. While budget constraints will always exist, experience with building animal shelters has taught Amy Wade-Carotenuto, the Executive Director and Founder, what works and what doesn't, what corners can be cut and what areas cannot be compromised.
This shelter and its staff have the potential to "bridge the gap" between traditional shelters and "no kill" rescues. Our goal is to only euthanize animals' when there is absolutely no other alternative. Many shelters call themselves "no kill", but in theory, it just isn't realistic. Also, some shelters call themselves this when it becomes convenient for funding. We are extremely honest and know with our collective years of experience, the animals best interest is always in our hearts with every decision made.
